Seven Pregnant Girls Have Reportedly Escaped From A Baby Factory On Tuesday Night In The Isolo Area Of Lagos State But Were Later Found By Policemen Of The Isolo Police Division.

19 pregnant girls had reportedly escaped the last two weeks from another baby factory, while another set of victims were found around the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway around 1, o clock in the morning on Wednesday by policemen at the Isolo Police Division.

According to the victims, they were tricked and brought to Lagos, not knowing that their babies are going to be sold out. They were kept as Hostages by the Madam of the baby factory but when the victims finally discovered they were in a baby factory, they plotted an escape plan and fled on Tuesday night.

Bala Elkana, the police PRO, confirmed the incident. He stated on Tuesday, October 2, 2019:

“A team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer, Isolo, CSP Folorunsho Gabriel, mobilized to the area. The seven pregnant girls were rescued to the station and they are between the ages of 13 and 27.

“The 13-year-old among them said she was raped in her village and became pregnant. When she was confused about how to handle the situation, somebody offered to help her and that was how she was brought to Lagos, not knowing that she was deceived.

“They were handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.”
